TESTIMONIALS & REVIEWS
"If you've visited the Amazon sales page and seen the review comments, then you already know three reviewers have given "Forbidden Desire" Five Star amazing ratings. An additional three have given Four Star, equally amazing ratings.
However, in the words of another reviewer, "I'm wondering if I read the same book as everyone else. ~ This book was definitely not for me."
Yes, my writing style is unique, and those who wish to just skim through the same old expected thought patterns will NOT find my books easy to read. So be it.
Even more so, those who lack depth of feeling and compassionate understanding will also find my stories devoid of content. Not because it's not there, but rather because what is there confronts at the depth of vulnerability those feelings that exist at the undercarriage of their experience, which they find repulsive.
Finally, the global conflict that I present will always be one that challenges social mores and cultural standards for acceptable behavior. It is no surprise that my writing will take a great many into areas that they find uncomfortable.
So, those who are incapable of diving deeply into their own traumatic wounding and would rather read about surface details rather than feel the underlying suffering of my characters, they will never be open to receiving the substance of my message, any deeper than that of the shallowness of their own willingness to explore vulnerability.
So, here is my response to the comments of those reviews, as an excerpt posted on the Home Page of this website.
'Frankly, I don’t really care whether you like my literary works or not. They are a genuine and sincere expression of my personal sexuality at the most intimate level of my conscious awareness. You either enjoy the experience my writings evoke in you, and find value in my books, or you don’t.
Your experience is based completely on what you prefer emotionally and sexually. That is what will determine your preference and is really none of my business.'
It has become obvious to me that my stories will be received only by a select audience with specific tastes, and that the quality of my writing is beyond the capacity for the masses to find interesting as the deeper message is threatening to the fragility of their own tastes.
That's perfectly acceptable to me, because I know that those who have the depth of feeling and understanding to feel the challenges that my main characters experience will fall in love with them as I have, same as those who shared four- and five-star reviews, with heartfelt adoration for the substance of their storyline.
So, for those who love what I write, we are sisters of compassionate emotional depth, exploring our sexuality to the limitless intensity of blazing lust and all-consuming desire."

"Culinary Alchemy"
Adrian, 43, widowed at 27, gorgeous and charismatic. He holds the secret to my future as master of culinary alchemy. Looking into those steel grey eyes makes my knees weak and my heart race. But, food skills aren't the only things that set my world on fire.
His right hand misled with tenderness, then tugged abruptly and too hard on my hair, “Ow!”, pulling my gaze upwards forcibly, exposing my neck, leaving it open for him to feast on.
Enticing desires simmer hot and heavy between the sheets. Our secret affair threatens to boil over, as intense emotions, unforeseen consequences threaten everything I ever wanted.
“Daddy? ~ What? ~ Why? ~ Isabella? ~ What are you doing?”
Will the alchemy of our forbidden desire turn our love into a sweet recipe for disaster?

This is my first Nicky Wylder read, and I can say without a shadow of doubt, that she definitely knows how to draw the reader into a story and keep them hooked from the first page until the end.
This tale is about a young girl who did everything possible to make her dream come true, whilst helping a man open up his heart to love after years of grief.
If you are looking for your next feel-good romance to keep you entertained for a few hours, then grab a copy of this book now.

"Forbidden Desire"
|
A year of provocation as a doctoral candidate. Control slips, power shifts, and ethical codes disintegrate, and disperse in the updraft at the edge of a precipice.
Each illicit event, an adrenaline rush, fraught with risk of severe consequences. My genitals warm, panties moisten with the juices of swollen labia, “mmm.” For him I'll risk it all. Professor Hal Winston is passionate to the point of obsession for Shakespeare, inscrutable in demeanor, and alpha dominant to the core. A grumpy academic titan, he's Off-Limits! But also activates my deepest desires and ambitions. Our connection is forbidden; our chemistry undeniable. |
We teetered at the edge of a cliff ~ inching ever closer to the discovery of broken ethical codes that forbade professor coed fraternization.
A year of terrifying, unimaginable, glorious joy dotted by glowing embers of euphoric illumination and agonizing realizations. And I Loved it all.
A bristling struggle of unresolved wounds; control, lust, passion and desires, within a macrocosm of academic hierarchy, confronting all the rigid criterion.
Will the scorching intensity of our flaming lust leave us forever tormented?
Ensnared by academic etiquette, lust, and burning tempests of emotions?
Falling for this pinnacle of academic perfectionism would be a mistake of gargantuan proportions. But it's too late ~ Already in the midst of Falling.
"Forbidden Desire", is a best friend's dad, grumpy professor, forbidden lovers romance. It is the first in the Desire series, but can be read as a standalone.
